Jafa demands the return of his father's lands and vows to take revenge for the emperor's death, criticizing the Sultan for his inability to fight the Crusaders. He proposes a plan to attack their weak points, and orders spies to be posted between Aqa Na Bullus and Kalan.

Meanwhile, the Crusader army is approaching from Nab to Alan, and Jafa reveals that the emperor had a secret trust that should be buried with him.
